Proverbs 4

This week I chose 4:14  Don't enter into the path of the wicked. Don't walk in the way of evil men.

To me, this means that you should avoid making bad choices and involving yourself in sinful situations. For example, when going to parties, you are tempted to drink. It would be better to just avoid the situation all together and not go to the party. Also you should avoid hanging out with people that make you do bad things. This week I am going to just say no to the people that tempt me to make wrong choices. I will stop spending time with the people that are a bad influence on me. I will avoid situations that will turn me into a sinful person.

Proverbs 5

This week I chose the verse 5:21  For the ways of man are before the eyes of Yahweh. He examines all his paths.

I think that this means that God is always watching our actions, and is planning our futures by how we act. He plans our lives, and he is the key to our success. He carefully takes the time to evaluate what makes us happy and tries to plan our lives accordingly to that. However, if we make bad choices, God will punish us for those actions. This week, I am going to think before I act and remember that God is always watching me.  I will make wise choices and never forget that God is trying to help me succeed in life. I will look to God when I am having troubles in my life.

Proverbs 3

In Chapter 3 of Proverbs, I chose the verse 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge him, And he will direct your paths.
This verse means that if you follow everything that God says and tells you do, then he will direct you in a life of success. God has a plan for each and every one of us, and we must listen to him so we can be happy. When reflecting on what I want to do in my future, I am going to put God in the mix. I am going to think about what he wants me to do and listen to him.

Its My Life

We played Spalding Catholic in volleyball on Tuesday. The game was ugly. We beat them 25-3 the first game, and also beat them the other two games. We also played West Sioux on Thursday, another win yet again for the Jays. :)

Proverbs 2

I chose the verse 2:2 So as to turn your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding.
I think that this means that we need to listen carefully to gain knowledge and become wiser. You also need to open your heart to new things so you can understand more situations in your life. It stuck out to me because it made me think that I need to stop sometimes and just listen to the people around me. After reading this verse, I am going to try to listen better and reflect on the knowledgeable things people tell me. I am going to try new things even if I am scared to, and I am going to put my whole heart into it.
